WORK SHIFT SCHEDULE
The CoG work schedule is online and updated in real-time. If you haven't signed up for a shift, please look over the schedule for a highlighted open shift and email us!
The CoG work schedule operates on a 4 week cycle. Weeks in the cycle are identified consecutively as: A, B, C, and D. Weeks are defined as Monday-Sunday.
The schedule of weeks for January and February 2008 is:
A Week: December 31-January 6 (closed January 1)
B Week: January 7-13
C Week: January 14-20
D Week: January 21-27
A Week: January 28-February 3
B Week: February 4-10
C Week: February 11-17
D Week: February 18-24
A Week: February 25-March 2
You can always check the homepage or calendar to see which week it is.
MISSING A WORK SHIFT
Stocking, order assembling, membership services:
If you know in advance that you need to miss a shift, please try to find a swap. Just go to the CoG Shift Swap forum and post your shift info.
If you don't find a swap in time, please contact member services by email at members@thecog.org.
Team leaders and childcare workers:
Team leaders and childcare workers are responsible for finding a replacement for the shift they are missing. Each has a listserve for making this process much easier:

PERMANENTLY CHANGING A WORK SHIFT
If your personal schedule changes and your CoG shift is no longer convenient, you may change it through member services.
You may speak to someone at the warehouse or send an email: members@thecog.org
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Assembling orders
• Moving through the warehouse, "building" orders and having them ready for pick-up.
• Weighing and preparing bulk item orders.
Stocking
• Unloading delivery trucks and then stocking warehouse shelves.
• Confirming order against delivered goods.
Member services
• Checking-in shift workers
• Giving tours of the facility to new and prospective members
• Answering the phone
• Processing memberships
Childcare*
• Providing care of members' children during their shift.
• We will have a safe, enclosed facility for childcare.
Cleaning/maintenance
• General cleaning and light maintenance, like changing lightbulbs.
Team leader*
• Responsible for the efficiency of shift work.
• Make real-time decisions about job assignments, ensuring every member has something to do.
• Hold wrap-up meetings in the last 15 minutes of their shift.
